Aluminium anodized is an abbreviation and stands for the electrolytic oxidation of aluminium.
Anodizing usually works with direct current in sulfuric acid or oxalic acid electrolytes. The aluminium is thus replaced as the anode, hence the process is also known as “anodization”.
Aluminium is electrolytically oxidized to form a thin layer of 5 to 25 µm that protects non-precious metals from corrosion. The natural oxide layer of aluminium is only 0.1 to 0.5 µm. DC process (DC sulfuric acid) is the most widely used method here.
Punto aluminium has been awarded the QUALANOD quality label and is committed to working in compliance with Qualanod’s strict guidelines. An impartial organization tests the holders of this quality label at least twice a year.
Aluminium Anodized Coating
We have ponds in our facilities that can anodize aluminium profiles ranging in length from 2 to 7.5 meters.
In addition to the standard colors, anodizing can be done in shades of nickel, yellow and brown.
Four separate plants process an anodizing capability of up to 42,000 tons per year in our facilities.
Anodized Colors
In our anodized ponds, it is possible to coat in a variety of colors. It can be made in natural (natural color), black, golden (light yellow), bronze tones. The sample colors can be seen in the picture below.
