Composite Panel Sales

Punto Alüminyum is one of the leading suppliers of composite panels, which are indispensable in modern architecture. We are proud to be the brand of choice for professionals in the construction industry with our high-quality product range and expert staff.

What are composite panels?

Composite panels are innovative and lightweight building materials commonly used in aluminum facades. They are made by bonding thin aluminum sheets to a core material. This structure increases the panel’s strength while maintaining its lightness. Offering a range of advantages such as aesthetic appeal, durability, and insulation, composite panels have become the material of choice for various construction projects.

What are B1 and A2 classes in composite panels?

Two important classifications used to determine the fire resistance of composite panels are B1 and A2 classes. These classifications are based on standard tests conducted to determine the fire response and combustion properties of panels.

    1. B1 Class: High Flame Spread Resistance (Difficult to Ignite)B1 class refers to panels with high resistance to ignition during a fire. These panels resist the spread of fire for a specific period of time (typically measured in minutes). Panels with B1 class are generally considered safer and compliant with fire safety measures in buildings. These panels can assist in controlling a fire in the event of a fire outbreak.
    2. Class A2: Very High Flame Spread Resistance (Non-Flaming)Class A2 refers to panels with very high flame resistance during a fire, meaning they are virtually non-flaming. Panels with Class A2 meet high fire safety standards and are typically used in areas of buildings with high fire risk.
These panels can make an important contribution to bringing the fire under control and preventing its spread.
These classifications are generally based on national and international standards (e.g., EN 13501-1 standards). When selecting composite panels, the fire safety requirements of the project and compliance with local regulations must be taken into account.
